VISITING PILLAR

What to Expect

During our worship gatherings we celebrate who God is and what He has done for us in Jesus. We sing God-centered songs, pray, celebrate communion, and listen to a sermon drawn from a passage in the Bible. Dress is casual. Moms, for your comfort, we also have a “cry room” located in our children’s ministry area that is right next to the check in station on the ground floor. This room offers privacy for nursing moms, a place for kids to get the wiggles and the giggles out, all while streaming audio from the main worship gathering so you don’t have to miss out.

Click HERE to see the service plan from our most recent gathering (also includes links to where you can find the songs online). You can also access our spotify playlist to view worship songs that we often sing together as a church body!

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

Child care is provided for infants through early elementary. We offer a care room for infants, another care room for toddlers, a preschool class, and a class for pre-k through early elementary. Your children are also welcome to remain with you in the service.

FAQ

Questions?

How long are your services?

Our services are around 90 minutes.

Where do I park?

The parking lot next to our main gathering space is a shared lot and is limited in parking spots. If you have base access, we ask that you park at the USO on Kadena (a few minute walk from the church). There is also a public parking lot across from the Okinawa Municipal Library (4-chōme-14 Chūō, Okinawa, 904-0004). As for parking on Gate 2 street, parking for more than one hour and/or without paying the parking meter can possibly result in a citation.

What kind of church is Pillar?

Pillar Okinawa is a Christian church made up of individuals from various denominational and religious backgrounds. Pillar is part of a family of churches situated near military installations around the world planted through the Praetorian Project. We are also an Acts 29 member church.
