Legalism and Liberty

The word gospel means good news. The gospel is the best news in all of history. It is good news for us every single day. However, when any element is added or subtracted from the good news of the gospel, it ceases to be good news. When we add to or take away from the gospel, not only does it cease to be good news, it straight up becomes bad news! In Galatians, Paul makes a vigorous and passionate plea for these young Christians to not add anything to the gospel, as it had been received. In this series we’ll talk about getting the gospel right. We’ll talk about how we tend to add to or take away from the gospel, just like the Galatians did. And, we’ll rehearse over and over again, how the gospel of Jesus is good news for us today.
