September Missional Partner Prayer Requests
Pillar Church of Mt. Vernon (Cody & Lydia Davis, George & Erica Madrid)
-Pray for Pillar Mt. Vernon as they are focusing on outreach this season. They’ve passed out 1000’s of door hangers, have volunteered at community events, and will be partnering with the USO for a Fall Festival in October. Pray for fruit from these efforts.
-They have some real building needs. As much as they’d like to focus on ministry, their building requires some attention, particularly with HVAC. Pray that God would provide funding for their HVAC system especially as they start heading towards the colder months.
– Praise God with them that one of their elders George Madrid will be starting Skillbridge with them in October as he retires from the USAF, and will come on staff in a part time role in January. Praise God for His provision!
– Celebrate and pray with Cody and Lydia as they have a little boy on the way. Lydia is due in November. Praise God alongside them in that, and pray for a safe pregnancy and birth.
– Pray for Cody as the baby comes. He loves what God has called him to do as a pastor, but wants to care for his family well. Pray that amidst the pressures and desires of ministry, that he would care well for his first flock.
-Pray for George and Erika’s little girl Leena as she recovers from recently having her tonsils taken out. Pray for a smooth recovery.
-Pray for the Madrids as George retires from the USAF. Pray for their transition into civilian life and all that it comes with.
Pillar Church of San Diego (Gabe & Misty Martin)
-Pray for the continued work of the ministry post PCS season. As with most Pillar churches they had a lot of people PCS out.
-Pray that those families would be able to plug in to a healthy Gospel centered church at their new location and that God would send new people to San Diego to fill in the gaps left after their departure
– Pray that Pillar San Diego would be able to continue in faithful discipleship and worship.
-Celebreate with their church as they have had many new births and pregnancies in the church.
-Pray for Misty as she recovers from the birth of their 3rd child and celebrate with them for this new addition to their family.
-Pray for both Gabe and Misty to find new rhythms in ministry as the Carters (their founding and planting partner) have moved away to plant Pillar “Seattle”
