Hello! I am from a small town in south Mississippi. The Lord used tragedy and brokenness to draw me to Him at an early age. Over the years, God graciously humbled my heart and faithfully pursued a deeper relationship with me. I desperately needed to see myself accurately, to know Him and experience Him for who He truly is.
My husband and I met in 2002, when I was still in high school and he was already in the Marine Corps. We married in 2005. Thirteen years, six deployments, two children and many moves later, here we are…in Okinawa, Japan. Since 2014, God has moved drastically in our marriage and our hearts, paving the way for a life lived for Him.
The hardest part of being a Marine Corps spouse is looking for a new church home when we move every few years. It was not free of pain and difficulties, but finding Pillar Church of Jacksonville was a blessing. Our orders to Okinawa were a surprise to us, but not the Lord. We trust God’s sovereignty and knew that He must have work for us here. We were excited to live on mission with Pillar Okinawa and God has cultivated an earnest desire for his transformative work in the lives of others. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to serve Him through Pillar Oki. I am a sinner, thankful for my own salvation, clumsily trying to live and love as Jesus did.
Serving as a women’s ministry coordinator is a beautiful opportunity to grow my own affections for God and obedience to His work on this island. I hope to walk with others for His glory and share the message of His infinite grace with those He puts in our path. I look forward to getting to know you, breaking bread with you, and helping in any way that I can. There’s always a place at our table!
